What is NEHPA?

A point-of-sale incentive that follows the equipment

The New England Heat Pump Accelerator funds heat pump upgrades in existing homes across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. The incentive is paid at the distributor level, so the savings show up on the invoice the day you buy — no paperwork for the homeowner to chase.

Before you apply

What you'll need to have ready

One application per home or multifamily building. For a multifamily building, also list each dwelling unit and its equipment. Have these details on hand and the online form takes about five minutes.

Part 1

Your company

  • Company name
  • Contact name
  • Phone number
  • Email address

Part 2

Homeowner & site

  • Homeowner name
  • Installation address, city, state & ZIP
  • Homeowner phone & email
  • Building type & unit / apt #

Part 3

The project

  • Existing home? (must be yes)
  • Estimated installation date
  • Previous heating / water heating fuel
  • Number of units for this dwelling

Part 4

The equipment

  • Equipment brand
  • Outdoor model number
  • AHRI / Iris ID (if known)
  • Incentive type & quantity

Don't know the AHRI number? That's fine — tell us the brand and outdoor model and we'll confirm the exact model combination against the NEHPA Qualified Product List. Manufacturer literature or a general ENERGY STAR label alone isn't enough to qualify.

One code per job, $650 off each heat pump, $300 off each water heater

As soon as you submit, you get one code for the whole job. It covers every qualifying heat pump outdoor unit ($650 each) and ENERGY STAR heat pump water heater ($300 each) you listed: one click adds those models to your cart, and the discount comes off at checkout. The code shows the home it belongs to, is tied to your dealer account and works on one order. Larger multifamily buildings need program pre-approval first; their code unlocks once we confirm it.
